McQ is a pret-a-porter collections of Alexander McQueen. There are some of my favorite collections of McQ Autumn/Winter 2012 Collections. There are super gorgeous and extraordinary collections and I just wanna say you are GREAT Sarah Burton!. I think this collections are so British, tartan, the coat, and the ball gown with gloves on the last picture. Look at the fabrics of military style on the third picture, it reminds me with The Army's bearskin hats. As always, Alexander McQueen shows was breathtaking!!

Alexander McQueen

Lee Alexander Mc Queen is my favorite designer. He is British fashion designer. Alexander McQueen was born in London on March 17th 1969. He is the youngest of six children. I was so fascinating with his collections. He was always shows the emotional power and raw energy, as well as the romantic but determinedly contemporary nature of the collections. His designs were so provocative and creative beyond my wildest imagination.  In less than 10 years, McQueen became one of the most respected fashion designers in the world. The other awards have recognized Alexander McQueen’s achievement in fashion: British Designer of the year 1996, 1997, 2001, GQ Menswear Designer of the Year in 2007. Because of his reputation in fashion world, her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II gave him an honour as A Most Excellent Commander of British Empire. Unfortunately, Alexander McQueen got depression because of her mother’s death and suicide in February 11, 2010, 4 days after her mother’s passed away. Even though he was passed away, he is always be my favorite fashion designer.

Jakarta Fashion Week 2012

2 days ago I was attending Jakarta Fashion Week 2012. Alhamdulillah, I got 2 invitation for APPMI fashion show 1-2. First, I got it from Dian Pelangi because I won her photo contest and the other I got it from Irna Mutiara, I was on her guest list. Surprisingly, I got VIP seat in second show and I sat next to Widyawati, Indonesian's senior actress. Here is it my photos in JFW 2010..

After the show, I had early dinner at The Nanny's Pavilion. That was my first time eat there. I like the toilet theme of that restaurant. I like the fettucini, it's so delicious. If you want to eat and sit on the closet, you should try at this place!

Beautifully Black Make Up

Now, H-1 Jakarta Fashion Week 2012 for Dian Pelangi and Irna Mutiara's fashion show. Because of the dress code is Beautifully Black, so today I'm 'iseng' doing make up test. This is my first experience use full make up by my self. And here is it the results!

However, I still confuse with what should I wear for tomorrow :(

Muslim fashion Istanbul - Freedom or Oppression

Fashion and fashion on the middle eastern Islamic countries, namely Istanbul-Turkey. This part of Islamic culture in Turkey even though they struggled with the injustice of women who covered manakali men do not.

A book entitled Nine Parts of Desire: The Hidden World of Islamic Women, by Geraldine Brooks, enlightened me somewhat on the topic. Apparently the theory (Islamic) is that women are incredibly sensuous beings; Allah granted them 9 parts of desire, giving men only one. Therefore, women have to cover themselves in order to keep the world from descending into chaos (of a sensual nature).

Since the establishment of the Turkish Republic in 1923, it has been unlawful for women to wear scarves in public buildings, including schools. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Turkey’s revered founder, was adamant that Turkey be a secular state even though its predominant religion was Islam. That is still true in this country, which is 99% Muslim. Turks take great pride in their secular government, a model of democracy in an Islamic world.
